Training the Next Generation in Industry Professionals at Maritime Training International

By Elisha Neubauer

One business that has been booming since the early centuries of society is the maritime industry. Regardless of optional transportation, society has flocked to the sea for recreation, travel, food, and so much more. For this reason, there are a wide variety of maritime training facilities scattered across the world. Maritime Training International is one such institution.

Maritime Training International is a distinctive facility aimed at training the next generation of maritime professionals. For those of you wondering, some of the career options trained by the facility include Captain, Mate, Ablebody Seaman, and Engineers. Similar to regular Universities, Maritime Training International gives those with an interest in the industry the best in qualified education.

"These qualifications will allow you to sail on a variety of vessels from tug boats to ocean going ships," explains Captain Nick Andrew of Maritime Training International. "Training is important to keep up with skills and to be able to fulfill your duties safely." Andrew explains that many people elect to follow a maritime career path because the pay is excellent, when compared to most land-based careers. "In addition, to progress up the chain of command, the USCG requires this professional training and sea time to test."

In order to have a greater reach, and thus enroll a greater number of students, Maritime Training International has opened two separate campuses in different locations. The first being located in Jacksonville, Florida at the Palm Cover Marina on the Intracoastal Waterway, while the second location is in St. Petersburg, Florida. Both locations offer the same great courses.

"Some of our upper level classes are challenging such as Tankerman PIC, Advanced Firefighting which prepare the mariner for the work force and help them maintain their licenses," states Andrew. The institution is also recently approved to provide instruction to Veterans who are utilizing their GI Bill.

Looking to make everything easy on the students, as they know training for a new career can be stressful, Maritime Training International's fees are all-inclusive. There will be no unexpected fees for books or tools required. The institution will even help you with the required paperwork and application processes. Why do they do this? Because the staff and training instructors love what they do.

"I personally love sharing my knowledge about this industry with others to help them advance their careers or get started in the industry," Andrew divulges. "This career has been very rewarding to me and my family and I highly recommend this choice for all that are considering it."
