Simply Yoga of Delray Beach Bring Inner Peace In The Sunshine State

By Jake Levin

Mindy Leventhal was teaching yoga classes at a studio which unexpectedly closed, but she didn't want to lose her students and leave them without a practice. With a friend, Leventhal quickly regrouped and rented the newly vacated space to continue doing what she loved. There was no plan or agenda for what was next, but 11 years later, Simply Yoga of Delray Beach, Fla. remains a bustling, thriving business.

"I could not be more proud and blessed to be living my passion, giving back to the others and feeling so grateful for everyone who walks through our door," Leventhal said.

There's a distinct feeling of being at home upon entering the studio, which is now set in a larger location. Leventhal said that the positive energy is something everyone who enters comments on, all with the same goal in mind: to relax and renew.

"There have been so many wonderful friendships formed and so many grateful people who love their home away from home," Leventhal said. "It is a safe, clean, secure place to practice whatever you need."

Over 40 weekly Hatha Yoga classes, or a method which emphasizes exercise and breathing control, are offered weekly. A dedicated staff is there for every type of session, a staff which Leventhal believes helps her studio stand out.

"We take pride in offering just want you need and having you leave completely blissed out," Leventhal said. "Our staff pays special attention to each student and takes the time to listen and help with anything."

Of course, Simply Yoga would be nothing without its students. The students aren't there only for themselves; they are there for each other, Leventhal said. Newcomers are always welcome, with the goal to ensure everyone feels warm and fuzzy.

"We truly have a very special community of people who come together and share like minded things, events, workshops etc. who could not imagine their week with Simply Yoga," Leventhal said.

Anyone who wishes to become a yoga instructor can earn their certification at Simply Yoga as well. There is a 200 hour "Yoga Alliance Teacher Training" program headed by two lead teachers which Leventhal said is among the deepest and authentic she's seen.

A big advantage for aspiring teachers, Leventhal said, is that the program is limited to eight to 10 students/aspiring teachers, which keeps it intimate in nature with lots of hands on care.

"Both lead teachers have an incredible passion to give to others and to help them learn whether they want to teach in the end or not," Leventhal said. "We offer and give a "life changing" experience that our future teachers will have for the rest of their lives."
