Ms. Cheezious is the Big Cheese in Miami

With a sassy logo, and a knack for combining a variety of cheeses, meats, and vegetables in inventive ways Ms. Cheezious has captured the attention of many foodies in the Miami area.

Grilled cheese sandwiches and mac and cheese make up nearly the entire menu. And why not, because as owner Brian Mullins says, "Grilled cheese reigns supreme when you think about comfort food."

This is a place to bring the entire family. Adults will love the complexities of the Croqueta "Monsieur, a grilled cheese with Ham croquettes, tavern ham, swiss cheese and béchamel on sourdough bread.

Kids, and adults, will love the ability to construct their own sandwich. The opportunity to play chef with high-quality ingredients is unique experience. Mullins says, "We have customers that love to "Build Their Own" grilled cheese as they get to get creative with their selections and create their own masterpieces."

Other popular sandwiches are the BBQ pulled pork, filled with house-made barbeque pulled pork, cheddar cheese on Texas Toast, and the Chicken and Waffle Melt, the Crabby Cheese Melt. Ms. Cheezious even offers two dessert menu items, the Sweet Meltdown and S'mores Melt. The Sweet Meltdown is made with Ricotta cheese and orange marmalade blend on Texas toast served with chocolate dipping sauce.

Wash it all down with a Dr. Brown's soda, or one of the selection of fine wines and craft beers.

Ms Cheezious had its humble beginnings on the streets of Miami as a food truck in December 2010. Words from watering mouths quickly spread about its gourmet creations. Mullins says, "We come up with our combinations based on ideas of dishes we have tried and combine the flavors and ingredients that you may not commonly eat in a sandwich."

The food truck was such a success that a brick and mortar restaurant was the next natural step. With over 25 years in the food and beverage industry, owners Mullins and Christian Dickens knew what the people wanted. They built a friendly, warm space with great service to match the comfort food they served. Mullins says, "We built our restaurant to feel like you are coming into a happy, familiar place. Our customers enjoy that we have a large outdoor space and can bring their kids, pets and have a great time playing board games or just hanging out."

This year the restaurant won the Miami New Times Readers Choice Best Inexpensive Restaurant in 2015. While the food truck most recently made an appearance at Art Basel, Miami's annual, premier fine arts event. The food truck has won an award nearly every year since it hit the streets, including the South Beach Wine and Food Festival People's Choice Award for Best Food Truck.
