Grab a Craft IPA and Try Your Hand at Cornhole: 3 Daughters Brewing Company

Over the last decade, the craft brewing industry has gained steady momentum with an insurgence of small breweries opening nationwide. Beer drinkers can try a wide variety of unique flavors- while learning the science behind the creation process. In 2013, 3 Daughters Brewing Company opened its doors to the public, bringing the craft brewing experience to the St. Petersburg area.

Mike and Leigh Harting, who named the company for their three daughters, work hard to bring create a great experience for tasters. A full tasting room offers fourteen taps, with a constant rotation of their forty-plus beers. Directly behind the tasting room is a 20,000 square foot warehouse space decked with entertainment- Jenga, darts, tabletop shuffleboard, corn hole, and much more. If you'd rather relax while enjoying your cold beverage, you can sit back and watch the brewers keg and can their product with a clear view of the brewing lab.

Co-owner Leigh Harting says that their location is currently making history in the state of Florida. 3DB has recently partnered with USFSP to create the first Brewer's Arts Program in which students can take online courses with the university, while getting full hands-on experience in the brewer's lab. As interns, the USFSP students will study directly with 3DB brewers, learning the craft beer industry's quality and consistency directly from the source.

On top of partnering with the university, 3 Daughters Brewing Company is also holding popular events for the local community. "We have events during the week like Trivia Monday and discounted growler Thursday. We also have bands Friday night, Saturday afternoon and Saturday night showcasing a variety of music styles. Food trucks are on hand weekend nights to provide dinner and we stay open until midnight. We often host events, including private parties, corporate events and charity sponsorships," says Harting.

Enjoy a game of life-sized Connect 4 and sip on a locally crafted beer. Watch real brewers working away on one of the forty exclusive flavors offered on-location.
