Come Experience Tampa's "Must Play" Course at Pebble Creek Golf Club

By Marina I. Jokic

Founded nearly fifty years ago, Pebble Creek Golf Club has a long-standing history and is well liked among the Tampa community. The club boasts exciting facilities for golfers of all levels, from beginning to pro. There is delicious fare at Mulligan's Irish Pub, which overlooks the course, and beautiful grounds for planning your next event. Whether you are a serious golfer or have merely wondered in, Pebble Creek will be a wonderful treat for your senses.

Guests soak in the raw natural feel of the place, its towering grandfather oaks, pines, and crystal waterscapes strewn across the grassy panorama. "Pebble Creek Golf Club stands out both physically and operationally," says owner Bill Place.

Considerable effort and thought have been invested in the landscaping design, but what is most unique about the club is its family-run operation and kind and gracious staff. Visitors seek out this exceptional and well-maintained golf course not only for its first-class grounds, but also because of the warm family feel. The atmosphere fostered by the people who maintain the establishment is one of welcoming and abundant hospitality.

Whether you are looking to get lost in your golfing, spar with a friend, or are bringing the whole family to dinner, the club can accommodate pretty much any request.

"With a copper-top bar and wood-beamed ceilings and Irish murals, Mulligan's is not a typical golf course bar," Place points out. In fact, many visitors flock there solely for the area Reader's Poll Best Pub, Best Burger, Best Kept Secret, Best Chicken Wings and Best Happy Hour, all of which they can find at Mulligan's. The vibe is casual, fun, sporty and most of all, Irish. Every St. Patrick's Day, over a thousand people come to Mulligan's to celebrate (see above).

Should you be planning your wedding and searching for the perfect spot, five-star rated on Wedding Wire, Pebble Creek will provide you with one of the most picturesque settings. The 200-seat ballroom overlooking the course and the magnificent veranda surrounded by century-old oaks make for an absolutely magical wedding venue.
